Meet The Team

Ladan Nezhad Hosseini
Co-Founder& Director
Ladan Nezhad Hosseini holds a Bachelor’s degree in Photography from Tehran Art University and a Master’s degree in Genetics. While her formal education spans both art and science, her primary artistic focus has always been painting and drawing, with a long-standing dedication to figurative work. Her artistic perspective is deeply rooted in an ongoing exploration of the human condition, nature, and the relationship between them. Alongside her artistic practice, her deep curiosity about natural sciences, neuroscience, and evolutionary studies led her to pursue advanced studies in genetics. Over time, these two domains—art and science—have merged into an integrated approach that informs her work, where both humans and nature are central to understanding growth, development, and existence. With over a decade of experience working with children, Ladan focuses on nurturing creativity, as well as cognitive and emotional growth. She views children as living, evolving beings—“seedlings” of the earth—from whom growth is not only supported, but also learned, in continuous connection with nature and their surrounding world. She believes that creativity is an essential part of human life, emerging through a balance of freedom, reason, emotion, and a conscious relationship with nature. In her view, creating environments that support this balance is fundamental to raising thoughtful, aware, and creative individuals. For Ladan, working with children is not merely a profession, but an integral part of her life—one that continuously deepens her sense of meaning and joy in living.

Lida Barani
Co-Founder& Director
Lida earned Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business, then spent ten years in engineering before immigrating to Canada. Once here, she studied Hospitality & Tourism as well as being certified in Event Planning & Organizing in the US, working in those fields for two years, and then accepted an executive management role in an art school. After two more years in management, she founded Pelican Art House, where she now serves as Director & Business Strategist. For the past two years she has worked every day with children—both as a mom and mentor—nurturing their creativity and growth, because she is deeply passionate about working with kids and believes that by investing in our youth now, we are shaping a brighter, stronger generation.
Pardis Behrouzi
Art Instructor
Pardis Behrouzi is a visual artist and art educator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran, as well as a Master’s degree in Art Research. During her time in Iran, alongside her visual arts practice, she studied interior design and urban spatial principles. This interdisciplinary background allowed her to develop an approach that bridges art and technology—an influence that continues to shape her conceptual and visual language today. Her passion for art education and painting continued after her migration. In Canada, Pardiss has continued teaching painting to both adults and children, further expanding her role as an art educator. She has also presented her work in several group exhibitions. Teaching is an essential extension of Pardiss’s artistic practice, rooted in the belief that creativity cannot be confined to rules or formulas, but is instead a form of freedom. In her work with children, she focuses on nurturing and protecting the innate creative spark within each individual, creating environments where freedom, awareness, and inner truth can naturally unfold. She continuously explores diverse approaches and materials, seeking new pathways to connect with and bring to life the rich and beautiful worlds that exist within children’s minds. Also she gained new experiences in the art scene and expanded her practice into the field of fashion. She has also worked as a professional model, appearing on various runways.
